We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Intern to join our HSE team. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced, high-volume environment of a winery, bottling and packaging facility. This role is ideal for new graduates looking to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily walk-through inspections in:
  • Wine cellar & fermentation rooms
  • Bottling line and packaging areas
  • Warehouse & chemical storage
  • Workshop and maintenance areas
• Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions, and report them.
• Check housekeeping, 5S practices, spillages, clutter, and access blockages.
• Monitor proper use of PPE by employees and contractors.
• Assist in hazard identification for high-risk areas such as:
  • Pressurized systems (CO₂, air compressors)
  • Boilers & steam lines
  • Rotating equipment (fillers, conveyors)
  • Chemical handling & cellar sanitation
• Participate in updating Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Risk Assessments.
• Observe and document near-misses and incidents for analysis.
• Inspect chemical storage rooms for correct labeling, MSDS availability, and segregation.
• Assist in monitoring safe use of:
  • Caustics, sanitizers, detergents
  • SO₂ solutions, cleaning acids
  • Lab chemicals in winery analysis
• Help track waste segregation practices:
  • Glass waste
  • Plastic packaging
  • Organic waste (grape by-products)
• Support wastewater monitoring and environmental compliance checks.
• Inspect emergency equipment:
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Hose reels
  • Hydrants
  • Safety showers and eye-wash stations
  • First-aid kits
• Assist in emergency drill preparations (fire drill, chemical spill drill).
• Help maintain emergency response team documentation.
